Módulo 1: Literacia dos oceanos e alterações climáticas (PDF)

Para este módulo, vamos destacar os objectivos cognitivos de aprendizagem que nos ajudam a compreender melhor
a ecologia marinha básica, os ecossistemas, a ligação da humanidade com o mar e a vida que este contém, incluindo o papel do mar como fornecedor de alimentos, bem como de empregos e oportunidades económicas, e o papel do oceano na moderação do nosso clima. Além disso, exploraremos também o impacto adverso que a humanidade tem sobre o oceano, resultando na perda de biodiversidade, de fauna carismática e de biomassa em geral, bem como no aumento da acidificação e da poluição. No final do curso Blue Forests Learning, os alunos devem ter uma compreensão mais sólida do que significa ser alfabetizado no oceano, e como os princípios do OL podem influenciar grupos que se envolvem em práticas insustentáveis que afectam negativamente o oceano. Desta forma, o aluno compreende a sua capacidade de tomar decisões que apoiem um oceano saudável e fica habilitado a defender a proteção e a conservação dos ecossistemas costeiros e marinhos.
